First of all, Im new here, and this looks to be a great board. Lots of specific info, and a good community. Ive been lurk'n for about a week, and yall seem like a nice bunch.

Before I get into anything, Id like to say that Im very interested in getting a B3030 TLB setup. Im probolly going to go with the BH75, but might be convinced to get the BH80x from Woods. They are practicly the same, with the Woods being the better, but both should work for my needs.

Anyways, enough about me, my question is this: What exactly is it on the B3030HSDC (Cab version) that prevents a backhoe? From what I can tell, its just the rear window (looking at pics, I obviously dont have the tractor yet...) that prevents the seat from going in, other than that, it looks like a fit to me. So, is that all that prevents the 3030Cab from running a backhoe? I could remove that Back window and put in a roll up leather wall with a vinyl window in it like on motorcars during the warm season, and then take the BH off and put the glass on during the snow season.

From the pics I have studied, and this is not scientific or facts or anything, but it looks like the sole problem is the ability to put a seat on for the BH, which, theoreticly, couldnt you put one in if the back window wasnt there? Or how about the Woods BH's, they look like they sit a tiny bit farther away from the tractor than the BH75, so that should make it easier to fab up a bracket to adjust the seat location.

Just let me know yalls thoughts on this, and again, great place yall got here.

Have a friend named Paul who posts here on occasion, he has a Kubota cab tractor, I think about the size that you are looking at, and he has a Woods backhoe on his tractor. He never mentioned having any problems with it fitting on the tractor.

I own a B3030 cab tractor but no backhoe.

My understanding is that the factory Kubota backhoe mount does not work with the B3030 cab model as there is not enough clearance between the back of the cab and the backhoe assembly. The Woods 70x/80x backhoe mount further back and thus will work with both a regular B3030 and the cab model.

I believe the Woods is a much better hoe to. There were a lot of reports here a year or so ago about bending the hydraulic cylinders on the Kubota hoe. I think Kubota came out with a fix but the Woods still has better specs.

FYI,
Norm

Kubota 3430HSTC + Woods 4 point subframe + Woods backhoe = cab tractor with a backhoe :D .

so, if I get the woods bh80x on a b3030hsdc cab tractor, it will fit? I know the bigger ones gave more room so it would work that way, but does that apply to the smaller 3030? this would be good. any other thoughts, would it be too top heavy?

You should see your dealer and have him check with Woods to see if there is a 4 point subframe available for the B3030hsdc. Then he can size the correct backhoe for your tractor.

Question for you Billy, how much of a pain is it getting in and out of the cab to work on the hoe? I have a cab Kioti and have just about given up on the idea of a hoe because of the inconvenience of getting in and out. I've looked at mini excavators but wow, they are expensive.

Also, Do you feel the 3030Cab would still be top heavy as a TLB setup?? Ive read that thats the only real problem with that unit. I hope.

My dealer explained all backhoes including Kuboto's will fit. The problem is a liability issue on Kubotas part, because you can not "easily" get to the PTO controls, or speed control with the cab. Take that for what it's worth.
He did explain that they have frames with the woods that fit all the Kubota stuff, including the newer ones.
I had a woods on my 4310 and it was a work horse, never a problem with it. Years later when I called for a tech question Woods treated me like I just purchased the unit and spent as much time as I needed, great company.

Top Heavy?
And is the cab really worth it?
What can one expect to pay for a TLB setup with the woods and cab?

Thanks.
