I have a leak around one plungers on the control valve for the bucket control on my 3054 backhoe. the unit is under warranty but if this is a simple o-ring change I would rather do it myself that load the whole unit on a trailer and haul it to the dealer. there is a tiny bit of hard off white plastic like material that looks like it came out around the plunger. could I have overheated the valve and melted something internally in the valve?

Dragging up an old message, but it applies.. :)

2375 loader, sitting on the seat, the left joystick leaks around one of the plungers.

I removed the top and see a white plastic ring and under that I see an o-ring. I suspect the o-ring is the problem. Can anyone confirm please?

Further, looking at the manual, it may be the o-ring #38 17 1x1 6-70

If it's agreed this is likely the culprit, just order an o-ring? Or maybe do more while I'm in there messing??

I hate to open this can of worms but Jim from NH had a leak problem and found a Kioti bulletin, search and I'm sure you'll find, maybe that is your problem?

I searched, but didn't find anything. PM'd Jim. Ya never know..

It looks like an o-ring would fix it since it's coming out around the plunger..
But I'm no hydro man. Works on faucets though. hehe

I've had my valve control apart and the sections split on my KB2375 when one of my stabilyzer legs wouldn't operate properly. The only seals you will find on the valve shafts (otherwise called spools) are as you mentioned. A rubber o-ring top and bottom of the shaft, backed up by a hard white plastic type washer. These will sit into a recess in the valve block. A new o-ring and washer should repair it unless you have scrathes or rust pits in the shaft. The new seals would work for a while until tore up again. An easy fix but check the shaft to be sure. You can buy the shaft separate if needed and it's not hard to replace other than now you have to unscrew the the bottom end.

I have pmed back but haven't heard. I have had my father and two uncles and one aunt die over the last two months so I have been busy. As far as the backhoe mine is holding up ok but I doubt if I have 5 hours of use total on it. After awhile Kioti did step up and make me happy.
