I am thinking of bidding on a L35 at an auction. But it doesn't have a backhoe on it. I called Woods and they said they do not make a frame mount backhoe for this tractor. Just a 3 point which I am not considering. I called the local Kubota dealer. They said they didn't know if they could get a new backhoe since the model changed to the L39. If they could get one it would be in the $11,000 range. They were way more interested in pumping my for where the auction for the L35 was and selling me a new L39. Any ideas? I had a Case 580C while I was builidng my house. My wife made me sell it. I am very impressed with my neighbors BX22 but after the 580C I don't know if I would be happy with anything much smaller than a L35.

You might try checking with rental yards that rent Kubota Tractors. Here in Calif., most rental yards have Kubotas, and maybe able to help in your search. Good Luck!

Check Bradco for a model 611 hoe. There is also Walstein hoes..you can get them through solex. If you need help PM me and I can get some pricing for you.

If it has the 4 point mounts, measure the height and width of all points and I will see if my bh90 would be compatible.

Thank you for the replies. I remember that I read somewhere that Bradco made some of Kubota's backhoes. JD Dealer. That 611 looks like a monster. It is almost as big as the one on the back of my old 580C! I'm all for bigger backhoes but maybe the 609 would be better. I called Bradco and it sounded like they would have a mount that would fit the L35. Thanks JD Dealer. Where are you?
The viewing for the auction doesn't happen for another week so I have to wait and drool over the pictures before I actually see what kind of condition they are in. Tractors go for a premium around here so I don't want to get my hopes up too high. I need a backhoe so I wouldn't want to get the tractor and find out that I couldn't get a backhoe on it even though it was origanally designed as a tlb. My wife wants me to install shelves and doors on the closets in the new house I built before I get another tractor but the deal was we just had to move into it.
Airmale. All I know is that it has a front end loader and three point hitch on it now. I won't know if it has any other mounting brackets until I take a look at it in person. Is there much difference between the BH90 and BT900?

The L35 uses the integrated backhoe with 4-pt subframe, the
"BT" series. Most likely a BT751. The "BH" series are the attachments
intended for the std L and "Grand L" tractors, using subframes. They
can also be installed on some of the B series tractors. Finally,
there is the Kubota 4690 3-pt backhoe, even though Kubota says using
the 3-pt hitch for a backhoe is a Bad Idea.

Note that the L35 integrated hoe allows for flipping your tractor seat
around to use the hoe, and the hoe is mounted closer into the back
of the tractor than say a BH75 on a L3130.

If you can not find a BT751, maybe you should fabricate the half of
the subframe you are missing and use a commonly available hoe. That
Kubota 4-pt subframe is nice.

The L-35 at auction is a smaller Case 580C! They should have painted it yellow!! I still own my L-35 I purchased in Sept. 95, and the backhoe is awesome!! If you are going to spend the money to buy the L-35; you may want to check the specs on any other replacement hoe first? You may either suffer from poor hoe performance with an alternate; or the L-35 hydraulics will destroy it!! I think the BH90 would be twisted like a pretzel?Just my opinion.

The L35 is an excellent entry-level industrial machine, usually targeted to
construction tasks. In addition to a well-integrated b/h subframe, it
enjoys higher implement hydraulic pump flows than equivalent weight
Grand L tractors. It will not, however, cause damage to another hoe,
properly attached. Other hoes (non-BT class) have their own relief valves
that limit how much force they are subjected to. Obviously, relief valves
set lower than those on the BTs will mean less force is exerted, assuming
equivalent cylinder size and moment arm ratios. Some of the larger Bradco
hoes (targeted to industrial users probably) are built very stout, while the
Wallenstein GXs are relatively light weight, just to name 2.
