Just found a JD4600 with a Kelley B750 on it with 3 point attachment. Does anyone have any info on how well this works or if there are any issues to consider before I move forward??? Thanks.

Just be sure to lift the stabilizers prior to moving forward. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry, didn't really answer your question. Can't say from experience, but have heard many people state that a backhoe connected to the 3ph rather than a subframe may not be as sturdy...

I would tend to agree with them as a backhoe does exert a lot of pressures and stress on the tractor. Personally, I would stick to something with a subframe.

I have that same BH just under the Koyker name on a Kioti LK 3054 and it is a good unit. Mine has a sub frame. You can purches a sub frame from a Kelley or Koyker dealer. If you have any questions call or e-mail either company The Koyker company has been real good to me for service and info.

Thanks for the start. Didn't realize that Koyker and Kelley were same BH. Any ballpark on what a subframe would $$ and doesn't that make it very difficult to remove the unit in order to run mowers, auger, blades, etc?? Here's a pic of the one I'm looking at!

If I remember correctly the sub frame was around $500. Mine uses the 3 pt pins to mount so you have to remove the hitch bars. On My Kioti after the 1st time it takes not even 15 min. to drop the hoe and sub frame and put the hitch back on. To install the bh it takes a good 15 min. Kelley's bh are sold under many different names. This is my 2nd Koyker unit the 1st on was a KB65 on a 20 hp massy 3 pt mount it was a good rugged unit even 3 pt mounted but to small for my landscaping business. The 3 pt units have a extra link kit which gos from the bh to the draw bar to lock it down and helps distribute the stress better though the tractor. Hope this all helps you.

This is indeed helpful. Any chance you've ever compared to the JD48? Hear an awful lot of good things about them especially on this forum.

No but you can compare the specs. of the kelley and the JD by going to a Koyker web site and I beleive Ameriquip or a name close to that makes JD's bh. When I was shopping I downloaded all the specs and compared and went with the unit that best suited my needs. just be carefull how they word the specs. sometime it can be confusing.
