I own a B7510 and have been thinking of purchasing a backhoe for it. I have 2 questions. Is it a better ideal to purchase one from a dealer or another brand? Also how hard is it to take off and on and can one person do it. I use my tractor for varoius items on the farm and normally always have something different on the hitch so it will require being taken off often.

bkruszka,
I have a B7500 with the Kubota 4672 BH. As far as your question about where to buy it, would all depend on your dealer. In my case, buying from the dealer made best sense.

As far as removing and reattaching.... prepare yourself for expanding your vocabulary and having to have all small children out of the area for at least an hour the first time. It took me forever the first time and I think that most owners would agree the first time is a pain. Since then, I have taken it off several times. I finally have it down to no more than 5 minutes to drop it and maybe 10 minutes to reinstall. That is after a LOT of practice.

Hope this helps,
Greg

Check with your dealer, he may sell additional brands. My dealer happens to also sell Woods backhoes and has no problem with selling either Kubota or Woods backhoes on new Kubota tractors.
