you just need enough clearance for the pins to be above the carriers when you lean the backhoe away from the tractor and onto the dolly. this way you won't have any sudden drop but you have clearance to wheel it away.
keeping this tight clearance also means less fumbling and no need to use the stabilizers to mount the backhoe. when you mount, the pins will be just above the carriers and you can easily transfer the load from the dolly to the carriers with the backhoe arm when you stand it up toward the tractor.
