Backhoe Backhoe Problems

I own a Kubota L2550 GST and I recently purchased a used Kubota backhoe Model K600. The tractor doesn't handle this backhoe very well with its internal hydraulics. Any suggestions?

Consider a pto driven pump and a separate hydraulic tank. I know the internal pump on my B7100 would never drive my Woods 750 backhoe but with my pto pump I can dig with the tractor at idle and it works great. You can find pto pumps at Surplus Center. Surpluscenter.com Kubota may also sell the pump and tank but I don't really know for sure.

My first tractor was an L2550DT. I installed a 7.5-ft backhoe on it using
a Woods subframe and the internal hydraulics. It worked fine. What
specific problems are you having? How are you connecting to the tractor's
hyd system?

I have a control valve on the right rear fender that I plug the two lines from the backhoe into. I then put a bungee cord on the valve to hold it open so I can use the backhoe.

Kubota offered an OEM remote valve for that tractor, but yours sounds
like an add-on. There is a very good chance that your valve has its own
adjustable relief valve and it is set to only 1500psi or so. The tractor relief
is supposed to be set at about about 2000 psi.

I added a remote to my L2550, too, but I powered it using the power beyond
port on my loader valve. I hooked the b/h up in the same circuit, bypassing
the remote valve when the hoe was attached. I also tested to make sure
I got the tractor's full 2000 psi pressure.

Again, what are you experiencing with your hoe that you find unacceptable?
Low speed? Low digging force? Jerkiness?
