If the spools don’t bind when the bolts are loose you need to get that apart and do it right. If they bind up after loose they ruined some of the housing sections or bent spools (check with dial indicator)

Willy, I've looked at lots of the literature Nimco has on line including that one (just now). None show my particular valve assembly and none give any torque spec for the bolts holding it together. I also own the CK30 manual but it doesn't cover the backhoe. I bought the hoe manual, supposed to arrive today. If it doesn't have the specification, I plan to call a distributor & if they won't/can't tell me, I'll tighten till I feel resistance and then back off a bit.
