Backhoe BACKHOES LETS SEE THEM

Who makes that trimmer? Nice.

Produced by a British firm : SMA. Very nice indeed, even if you sometimes get a sore neck looking at the blade over your shoulder for hours on end.

My teramite t5c was my right arm when building my cabin last summer. It leveled the lot and dug the footers. I also used it for all of the lifting. This summer it will dig the footers for the posts for the covered deck that will surround the cabin.

Thanks everyone for sharing all the pics... I'll add of a few of my recent ones which include mostly use of the BH and Bro-Tek thumb to remove down trees from our NM property.

Here is a shot of mine. The previous owner home built a lot of it, but it works!

No pics but I have a Terramite TC-5 that I bought at auction for $ 4,750. It the best money I ever spent on equipment. It's just right for the little jobs around the Homestead, small enough to get in tight places and anyone with half a brain (that includes me) can become an "expert" backhoe opperator in 1/2 a day. If you see one grab it!!

The interesting thing about mine is that the side-to-side swing of the machine is not provided by conventional hydraulic rams. The swing is provided by a single rotary hydraulic 'cylinder' at the base of the boom. I've never had take the cylinder apart so I have no real idea how it works. There are no markings on the hoe so I don't know the brand. It may be a particulary Australian attachment because another Australian TBN member contacted me a few years ago after seeing one of these photos. The hoe has its own pump, powered by the PTO.

Seems to be a unique set up on some Aussie Kubota's, one of my B7100HST's has it & my other machine has the more conventiional swing cylinders:-

Attached is a picture of my '79 Case 480C, as I'm running electric service to my new horse barn. Has the extenda-hoe, and sure is handy for reaching back, and cleaning up the crumbs in the trench. Relatively decent shape, with a dab over 2500 original hours, other then the PO apparently not knowing what a grease gun is.

And the link below is of a JCB, that I've never quite seen used in this type of application, but would like to see it in action..!!.
