Voltage is not getting to my PTO switch. I've pretty much eliminated everything else and am quite sure the brake safety switch is bad. I'm not physically able to get to the switch due a recent injury.
I should be able to wire a jumper directly to the battery to get the mower deck to run, right?

You can connect the PTO clutch coil to the battery directly. However you will need to make sure that you have a ground connection on the clutch coil also.

Keep in mind that you will need to manually connect the clutch power after starting the engine and disconnect the clutch power before shutting off the engine. A fuse in the line is also a good idea.

Thank you for your reply Richard.
I can't seem to locate the clutch coil. I'll have to find a schematic.
Wouldn't you think I could accomplish the same thing by introducing 12 volts to the PTO switch?

In order for us to help you, we would need to know the model number of your tractor and the year of manufacture.
