Bad case of Tractoritis, budget for attachments?

When I want something real bad, I stop buying stuff out of the vending machines at work and take my lunch. That saves me about $800.00 to $1000.00 a year /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Bob,

The worst words I ever said to my wife were: "Why don't you get a hobby?"

Took me quite a while to get the points back in the buffer on that one and it marked my earliest realization on how different men and women are.

Anybody got a good solution to my problem? She was real upset at me early this week, because I was having fun servicing the tractor (just past 100 hrs). While she wasn't enjoying cleaning the house (I do do my fair share of the cleaning)

1) Tell her statistically, that the average member of TBN dramatically decreases new attachment purchases and time spent on service after the first 1.5 years of CUT ownership.

2) Tell her that the net effect of the new implements enables that much more time be spent doing things in the house such as cleaning and family activities.

Buy time, the disease never dies but does become manageable,

I can't believe no one has broken out the Roger Welsch logic yet... Tractors make ya live longer... If you have a hobby you enjoy, you will live longer... Be prepared to fend off any smart remarks about this though... /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

It's always easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission. Just do it! :)

hazmat,
You do indeed have a very understanding wife!

In my case I purchase all my goodies before I got married..whew /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

One can get a heck of a good deal $$ on second hand equipment or visit some dealer auctions & dealer open house..just got to plan ahead little.

My theory if you purchase a piece of equipment and you don't use another piece of equipment hardly at all,try and swap or sell..example..one tractor not two..sold my box blade and purchase a York Rake w/a fold down grader blade.

Far as inside the home chores & grifts..I ain't touching that one. /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

<font color=blue>I'll have to kick my gotta have-it now tractoritits disease.<font color=blue><font color=black>..sorry there ain't no cure,for its in your blood. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I could save that much in a week./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Twice that if they close the Mickey D's near work./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Well, let me start by saying that I almost NEVER buy anything new. I see a good deal on something I want, tell her I can fix it up, and sell it, or part it out if we don't end up needing it. Of corse she knows I never sell anything, and the best that will come of it if I can't fix it, is sitting there, and getting a few parts scabbed off of it. But she humurs me./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I think if I at least try to come up with a reason to have it, shes happy.

"(Wife is getting hyd cylinders for plow for birthday)
"

I hope you mean your wife is buying HYd Cyl for YOUR birthday. If not you better reconsider or you can kiss your attachments bugdet goodbye.
