BBC News - Cat 'arrested' for break-in at Brazilian prison

A cat has been detained in the grounds of a jail in Brazil with contraband goods for prisoners strapped to its body with tape.

The white cat was apprehended crossing the main prison gate.

The confiscated items included drill bits, files, a mobile phone and charger, plus earphones

Seriously though how do you train a cat to take contraband into a prison and insure it doesn't get side tracked? Any cat I've ever been around did what ever the heck it wanted to do.

Actually it was Kitty Abuse.. the tape around its middle was very tight, to hold all the items on, and they had to take the thing to a Vet to get the tape out of its fur.. I am sure Kitty was not very happy. It was a dumbaxe stunt that had very little chance of working anyway.

Seriously though how do you train a cat to take contraband into a prison and insure it doesn't get side tracked? Any cat I've ever been around did what ever the heck it wanted to do.

This reminds me of a story I read many years ago, during the cold war period, apparently the CIA modified a Cat thru surgery to have a small radio transmitter with a sensitive microphone actually implanted in the cat to go over to a park bench and hang around suspected spies. Apparently it took many years to train the cat to go to some location on command, and for the kitty to heal up.. Well apparently on the very first deployment the CIA handlers who were across a street, let the kitty out, but it had to cross a busy Moscow street and was run over and squished. Apparently 2 years of work and 90,000 dollars of equipment fell victim to a car tire.

I have a couple of stupid, egg sucking dogs. Although at present I am not a cat person there is a possibility that I could be converted.
