Your best friends are eating better than me... well if my wife let me eat like that!

They actually eat better & more than I do.
Cooked ham that got old & hard.
Cooked a small roast that I didn't care for. They got most of it.
Boneless pork ribs that weren't so good. They got most of them.
Burnt a couple of waffles & 1 old hard biscuit. Bobby looked like she was chewing a bone eating the biscuit. Little boy at the waffles.
Hot dogs most every day. Save them some tomalie when I eat them.
Same with burgers.
& ????
They have 4 bowls of food with about 2 pounds in each one. Rare if they eat more than 1 or 2 bowls.

Crash, be careful giving them too much "human" food, especially pork. It will cause pancreatitis, a lot of vomiting/diahrrea. It makes them very sick and if left untreated will kill them. Now, I will say this, mutts seem to be a little more resilient than pure breeds. I can tell you love your pups, wasn't sure if you were aware of this.

Thanks 2 Bits.
As for Little Boy, pork is not a worry. He will chew up & often eat plastic, hot sauce & has fetish for fire wood. And just about anything else that he can find.

I hate Wind & it blew for2 or 3 days, 30MPH plus gusts. Strong enough to shake the house.
Then came 12 hours of drizzle or light rain.

Dogs personality is constantly changing. Months ago Mother Bobby brought me an old glove to throw. Did this a few times, then she quit & could care less.
Little Boy likes to play tug a war. Will catch if throw mostly up ward. But not chase if throw out & away.
He & Bobby are both now talkers, I don't understand what they are saying but they seem to understand each other.
She keeps Little Boy in place with several different growls, from that's OK but don't push it, to you better look out.
Every now & then she sneaks him a quick little kiss.

More later,
Jim

Plastic and wood, that is a recipe for a blockage and a trip to the vet. I hope that was by accident? If the wood is soft or breaks in small chunks, maybe not to worry, but I would be concerned about slivers depending on the wood type.

I agree, but don't know of any way to stop him. Put hot sauce on the fire wood that only slowed him down for a short while. Then he stole the hot sauce & ate the ( Chewed up the lid. ).

Going to put a gate on the ramp at the back deck. It will at least keep him grom stealing things off the table & out of the fire wood rack.

I need suggestions on getting another dog.
My thoughts are a female about 2 years old. Young enough that Mother Bobby can still be the alpha female & big enough that Little Boy does not hurt her when he plays. First Choice is a German Shepard, maybe a rottie or ???? Little Boy is submissive, but plays pretty rough.

Both dogs are high energy & another 1 should also be the same, I think.

The highest energy medium-size dogs I know of are labs.

alpha-female... funny. That's an oxymoron. Young female is the right choice IMO. Adaptable, easier going and if spayed no problems and a friend for life.

Mother is the real boss ( of dogs here. ) If not Alpha what would you call her?? She at times likes to boss me around or at least try. Well behaved & quiet, Little Boy is mostly quiet as well. He is learning to be defender of his property. Well at least bark at interlopers. Neither of them would actually bite anyone.
