Had a thought here last night.... I'd kick in on a gofundme page if it came up. :hint:hint:

Good idea, brt most of you never heard XELO your 90,000 watt clear channel station out of Clint tX.
Preacher says send me your nickles, dimes & quarters, what ever you can afford.

Things are going pretty good, plenty of food, beer, dog & bird seeds. Truck has gas.
Even have a few little $$ in my pocket.

Now some problems with the Wells Fargo. A few $$$ in checking & even started a small savings acc, Set up banking on line. It does not work.

Drove almost 50 miles to get AC fixed. 2 people at bank told me if I don't have enough $$ in my acc. I could spend up to $2,000 & it would cost me $35. OK got truck fixed. AC, new battery &new wiper motor,
Things going pretty well, repairs going slow because parts have to be delivered.
Walk long block to Jack in Box get burger, fries & shake. Burger & fries taste awful, Choke down all I can stand.
By now feet, back & so on are starting to really hurt. Garage has nice big TV. Limited channels but works. Sound is as bad or worse than mine.

Bill $695.19, try to use card, nope don"t work, (Twice) Call bank, lady says you can only do that for little purchases. I'm not real bright. but who in their right mind would pay $35 to spend $500 or so.

Call sister, get machine, not sure when she will gt message. Call friend & neighbor Doug To let dogs out. Takes him over 2 hours to get there. Well it's Friday & traffic is terrible, + train track has long trains going through intersection. Doug walked to the house to let dogs out. 4.5 hundred yards & he hates freeway so goes on back roads. Standing in shade talking & sister shows up. She had debit card, never seen her use any thing but $$ If I knew she had card, business could have been done on PH.
Get things taken care of chat for a few minuets & she hands me a $20 bill try to tell her i don't need it. Makes her feel good so I take it.
freeway not too bad traffic a little over speed limit. Good I be home soon. Nope over 1/2 hour to go about 1/2 mile. Traffic lightens up & is going along fine. Think about stopping & getting a beer. Nope Just get home & git rid of pain.

Down a little rabbit warren here, but I noticed some discrepancies in the radio info; US stations are limited to 50kw, and all start with K or W, based on either west or east of the Mississippi. Mexico uses X for station designation and don' have no steenking power limits. Apparently from the bleedover we get on adjacent stations they don't have any quality control on their transmitters either.
Found an excerpt on Google Books from Border Radio, which mentions XELO and a shady preacher type, looks to be an interesting read. Radio is kind of a mess now, for the people that work in it. Like everything else, the internet has had a significant impact on it with being able to stream. Now you can catch shows that don't air in your listening area. Maybe we need a radio thread, if there isn't one already.

Jim I have listened to XELO clear channel radio from sun set to sun rise traveling West from El Paso Texas to Yuma Ariz.
After a days work in Texas and get a call out to get some location in N.Mex. or Ariz. and this was in the days when doing 80 the State Police would only wave and go back to sleep. When getting close to 16 hours of work would need some distraction to stay awake. The preachers on XELO would be spreading there ideas of what the Bible said that no one else could believe . Used this method to be awake and thinking.

Mexico transmitted clear channel and ignored the us. protocol of frequency separation of stations. One time a technician and owner of XELO was installing new transmitting tube no final power and was adjusting the tube current when another applied final power instant bacon to the 1 men.

She must be a understanding lady. Have you considered to move back toward Benson or Tombstone to make travel easier for her.

Used to be a Mexican food restaurant Toward the Mission Indian reservation still there. good food.

Radio station talk made me think of when I was a kid and my uncle had a small radio in his bedroom. He had a long wire hooked up for antenna and was getting stations all over at night... I didn't have a radio so it was magic.

With Dish - our new receiver shows channels 2 times because one is normal and the other HD - You can make your own list of favorites and eliminate the channels you do not watch.

It was little sister, lives in Tucson. Near Ajo Hwy.

Year of bugs!!
Not just ticks., Fire flies. dragon flies, even a mosquito now & then.
Neither 1 should be in this area. But they are, at first I though maybe my eyes were seeing things not there. One landed on my chest & one outside the plastic on deck. Then there was some other kind of light bug?? Very bright & large. Second time I have seen them, There were lots of them, Saw them when Cody was here, hie kidded me. & said they were from outer space. What are they???

Doug new hole in yard.
Gave away, To Doug, some things that would cost me over 200$$ if I wanted to replace them. Doug for a while then called him & he had to dig. Make him work for some good toys. He & I swapped lies & BS, drank beer every now & then. I drank 2 much but so what. He went home looking like a kid at Christmas. It is pretty amazing how close I lives have paralleled. Different places I different times. Some stories about Harvey & his funny ideas & plain old silliness.

My sister & brotherinlaw were doing a little job for him, he never quit talking & drinking beer. After a while he says, this is a great conversation. They never said a word & he kept talking. One time he was at the house drinking beer & there were 2 gay girls here, somehow I gave them a couple of dill pickles, & they liked them. harvey piped up & says come over to my house & I will give you a whole jar of them. Guess he gave them to them. Another time Cody & I were there on his front porch, There was something I wanted to tell Cody, Told him to be quiet for a minute, he complained that he could not even sit on is on porch & talk.
