BAd Fed EX delivery

I had seen people speak of the fed ex deliverys in different areas. I cant believe this video and delivery...

However Id like to add that I found my delivery person to be the opposite. The other day I had a young guy deliver to me and he introduced himself and shook my hand.That surprised me. but was a good thing..:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: So the guy in this video is definetly the ''bad apple'''

FedEx delivery is pitiful in my area. You always get the package 1-2 days later that the date posted on the website because the driver will put on there "Attempted Delivery but no one was at home". This has happened multiple time when I was at home at the time they claimed they tried to make the delivery. They act like it is terrible if they have to get 6" out of the city limits to make a delivery.

Not sure if it's the same everywhere, but here the FedEx deliveries are by contractors, not actual FedEx employees.

UPS, on the other hand, uses UPS employees...

The caption in regards to the flat screen delivery by Fed Ex was just on the Evening News tonight. The owner was home at the time and his security camera caught it all on video. The owner stated that all the delivery man had to do was ring the bell on the front gate and he would have come immediately. The owner also stated that his front door was wide open. BTW, the flat screen was broken after being tossed over the fence. Fed Ex Corporate responded by stating that the matter would be addressed and that this action was not the way that their employees are taught in handling deliveries. I must be Lucky, because I have never had any problems, whatsoever, with either Fed Ex or UPS.

On the plus side....i hear Santa delivers the same way....

So this driver may be able to get another job after this cools off.

The guy is a major &^%$#bag.

My last HF delivery came Fedex. It was a drywall lift, it was all beat up, missing parts. Looked like a forklift had run into it. HF replaced it within a week. I'd never use Fedex if I had a choice.

I think these guys are contractors, and delivering to rural areas like ours is a major pia for them. The guy that does our area has truck that wheezes like heck, leaks, looks like it is held together with duct tape. I asked the guy about his truck, it surges up and down several hundred rpm. That reving up and down is interesting I had a 1997 Chevy s 10 that did that from day one and the dealer never figured it out.After warranty i put a toggle swith onto the map sensor and into the cab.This would trick the engine i guess. lol but I contined on till it has 230,000 miles on it It tookd the problem to its grave.lol

I think this is right place to post my FED EX delivery :I ordered item on the second day and paid $15 for package to be delivered as such and also on the tracking to be delivered on 11/30/11. Noted on truck all day on 11/30/11 and there's still no package on 12/1/11. I needed the item by yesterday or I would not have paid the extra fee for shipping. Now the driver wants me to call and I called and he will not answer the phone on the cell phone he provided.

My package has been on his truck for two days and he continues to take it back to the warehouse. I did not receive it on time. I'm still waiting and getting no where. The item was needed yesterday and now I am without item. I will not ship with again or order from any merchant that uses FedEx.

I've never had a problem with UPS, but for some reason FedEx always gives me grief! I've gotten the "recipient did not answer door" line a few times, and once I had to travel 80 miles round trip to the fedex warehouse to pick up a $20 part I ordered, because they didn't leave it on the porch.

Yup, FEDEX sux around here. Usually takes them a few days just to find where you live and get it delivered. (rural area) UPS doesn't seem to have any problem getting things delivered.

Fedex is just plain poor here. I cringe everytime someone sends me anything by them. Back in November they held 4 packages for over ten days at there shipping point that is only 32 miles from me. The driver kept saying he could not findn the hose and said the weather was too bad. Had to call the complint number about 6 times before they finally ordered them to deliver. Last week they sat on a package for 5 days again. I called it showd up on the traking page as having being delivered on Thursday which it had not. Called complain again and flat accused the driver of lieing. Packaged showed up about 4pm on Saterday. I ask the driver whay it was listed as being delivered on Thursday. He just mumble something about tracking number and scurried away.

I run things through the shop here and there for a little extra cash. The ups guy came two or three times in one afternoon because he needed a signature for one of the parts. If I'm around I can hear him pull into the drive, and it helps when the dogs go ballistic. He went over the top trying to get this to me. He stopped on his way into town, stopped right before he headed to the next town, and once again on his way through back to the warehouse. I called his cell phone number he left, and just had him sign my name and leave the package on the porch. I trust the guy. Fed ex just calls me and has me drive 15 miles to come pick up the package from them. The one and only time fed ex has been to my house was when I had a backhoe in the middle of the driveway. I guess they must have a note in the computers that my driveway is inaccessible. I can pull my 47' low boy down it, turn around and drive out. I know his pickup can do it.

UPS delivery positions are pretty good jobs. If companies pay people you'll get good workers. Our UPS guys we have had over the years have been GREAT! Our dogs love them too. They always get a treat from him, so they always make sure to great him with tails wagging.

Well my UPS gripe is simple. I am rural and they have had their trucks in the drive for years.The in the last 3 years he stoppes at the bottom and walks up.rain or shine. and always has a bone for the dogs. I told him once to drive right up. sometimes my stuff is heavy. But he told me he couldnt as someones wheel got off the pavement slightly in some guys drive and pushed some grass..
I told him I would sign a letter that I wouldnt complain. But he said he will just bring it up the drive.
One time I took my 2 wheeler down as they determined he didnt need one and took his off the truck.:confused2:
So a couple people complain and eveyone suffers..I sure hope my gravel company doesnt take that poilicy and drop the gravel in the road side lol

I think that's the key to the difference in quality.

I once got a phone call from a FedEx driver on the opposite side of the country - he couldn't find the address of my Ebay customer. I had to phone the customer, who said the address was straightforward so that driver must have gone to the same street name but in a different town. I phoned the driver back and pointed this out. Yep.

Seems to me the delivery driver should know his delivery territory. That local knowledge of the destination shouldn't be the responsibility of the shipper who correctly addressed the package!

If at all possible I do not use FedEx. My last experience with them I ordered some clothes online and the company only ships FedEx (free shipping). Tracking data on Friday stated the package was on the truck for Friday delivery. No package, checked Saturday and it logged delivery not attempted at 5:03 PM Friday, placed on truck Saturday morning 4:05 AM for delivery.

Called FedEx, operater tells me that ground is not delivered on Saturday, will be Monday. When I asked why no attempt was made on Friday, did the driver take off early, she said the drivers fall under DOT rules and he ran out of hours and had to quit. I asked my UPS guy, he delivers till the truck is empty. If I order from the company again I will pay for shipping rather than use FedEx. I have to admit FedEx is better than DHL (Day and a Half Late).

Happened to me 2 weeks ago. Tracking said "unable to locate recipient", I called the shipping center and the guys said i must have not been home, I told him i was home expecting the package all day and the driver must have lied. all he could do is apologize.

My UPS guy is great, even here last night at PM delivering, said he still had 2 hours to go.
