Well I managed to get it going! I think there was ice in one of the fuel lines (the one going from the screen to the filter). Not a total blockage so I was able to get air through the line, but enough that it couldn't deliver enough fuel to run. Today it got above freezing and I was able to get it going. It was pretty exciting after days of being snowed in without the tractor, I tell ya.

ice (as opposed to the parafin of fuel gelling) means water in the fuel ...drain at the lowest point, use a waterblock filter, suspect your fuel supplier, never use the bottom of the barrel, don't leave the fuel-tank cap off in the rain, keep the tank full to avoid condensation.

Zuiko-I am happy to hear you got your tractor going:)

I had to leave my brand new Kubota in my woods a few years ago just after filling it up with it's second tank of fuel:mad:

The fuel had water in it so I had to drain the tank, clean the filter with kerosene and then added new fuel with Power Service.

After that experience I was careful where I bought my fuel, always used a Mr Funnel (from Gemplers) to make sure no water got in my tank with the fuel and always add Power Service.

No more problems;)
