Oil & Fuel bad fuel tanks bx2200

I have been having a main fuel tank leaking problem on my less than 50 hour bx2200 ! The dealer has replaced it once , and now is going to pick it up again to check it out . It looks as if it is coming from a seam , but its hard to tell . I just wondered if any one has had this same problem lately, as i know there was some problems with the tanks earlier on.The bx2200 is a great machine , but it seems like mine has been giving me heart failure with alot of stuff going wrong . I will say the dealer ( after a few phone calls) has been great with trying to remedy the problems . Just wanted to see if mine is the only one having this tank failure .

This has been covered before, but to recap, early BXs had a problem with the small resevoir tank (not the main fuel tank). Then it seems that there was a batch or two that had a problem with the main tank where the fuel sender is attached. It seems that the sender wasn't fitted properly to some of these tanks and diesel would come out at that point and run down the seam, which made it look like it was the seam leaking when indeed it was just how the sender was attached. Kubota has issued a service bulletin and a kit to fix this issue. The new kit clamps in the fuel sender via an internal collar, while from the factory the sender was a slip fit, which worked fine as long as the tank opening was proper. I guess the problem came when some tanks didn't have the perfectly round opening, allowing the sender to come loose.
