I don't know about you guys, but I don't think we'll ever here from the OP again.
They can't see that because they are blinded by the big $.50 to $1.00 a quart savings.Yep, he sure did screw up. Now, not that I am taking up for the guy, but if I was taking $700 worth of meds every month, possibly not thinking very clearly, maybe something he cannot control. Also think more of a "saving money" thing using the 3rd rate oil instead of the OEM. Regardless, it is his fault and no manufacturer is gonna shell out thousands of dollars for his mistake.
Still dont understand trying to save a few bucks using cheap a..s oil in a multi-thousand dollar machine. Why take the chance?
Years ago in the early 70's, pumping gas while in high school, this wizard in a gas mercedes wanted "white gas" in it instead of "regular gas". He was told not for vehicles several times but he insisted. We filled it up. One hour later he drove back hollering and screaming, his car now sounded like a peanut thrasher. We all had a good laugh, the dumba-s.

True, if they provide it free of charge, they can require it. Although, I have never heard of anyone doing this. I know some newer cars come with free oil changes for some period of time, but I do not know how they are or are not applying this to warranty. That adds an interesting twist that I had not even thought of.
This is -NOT- a cheap oil vs an expensive oil issue.. it is a -WRONG- oil vs -CORRECT- oil issue.
Do you mean 'hydraulic' fluid ?Tractor fluid
