does anyone have info on how to adjust bale weight on jd 327 square baler

All I know is:
You can lengthen the bale to make it bigger and heavier;
or you can adjust the tension, which makes the bale tighter and heavier.

Of course, you can overdo it and break something too. :confused3:

I agree! I like a 40 lb bale if I have to put it in the barn and 60 lb bales if I am hiring labor to put it in the barn. Ken Sweet

Bales can be made heavier/lighter by turning cranks(parts key #5). If bale isn't hevy enough with cranks tightened down all the way one can add re-stricters (parts keys #21 & #22) 2nd photo. Depending how many bales baler has baled the parts key #21(cabbage cutter) has be known to wear smooth.
