Ball park figure on long distance shipping?

I was looking at a few auctions about two weeks ago and sent the info to FR8Star.
I got so many responses it was to the point it was annoying.

Where are you at? I paid $3 a mile last month to move a small JD bulldozer 100 miles in East Texas.

Update: Got pictures of the one with the good price. Badly repainted. Lots on dents and bent stuff. They quoted me about $3.50 per mile for around $1600. The shipping price was okay but the tractor was far too beat up to buy sight unseen and its too far to drive just to take a look at it. The other ones I'm looking at have far fewer hours, priced way higher and are further away so not going that route either.
