Everything arrived so here are some pics.

Heavy Hitch - initial review, finish quality on the Heavy Hitch products super nice. Nice full welds, didn't really notice much weld spatter, full bead welds, heavy duty construction, AND they arrived UPS ground without a scratch on them. So far quite happy, next we'll see how they fit up.

Land Pride QH10 - Mixed review. The good its heavy, no shortage of steel used on it. But their finish quality and build quality is lacking. No where near the quality of welding as I see on the Heavy Hitch stuff. And it arrived already beat up chipped and scratched. More on this later with the pics.

First up the Heavy Hitch 3pt hitch with hook and suitcase weight bar. That's right MADE IN USA by God!

Do you see any weld spatter? I don't, maybe they TIG well these beasts!

Not sure if they weld a nut on or drill and tap but I ran the pins in by hand quick and they seem to thread in fine. A show of hands, how many of you have purchased something then had to go buy a tap to fix some crap threads, so kudos to Heavy Hitch!

Next up the Heavy Hitch cart, it attaches to the hitch with the suitcase weights and all, lower to the floor and park it somewhere in the shop. Now the cart is like $249 but for what you get I think that's fare. If I were going to build a cart I'd have my time, materials, casters, powder coating, I couldn't build it for $289 and have you priced powder coating lately. Plus I have other work to get done so I was happy to pay Heavy Hitch to build this for me.

4 inch casters. Look at the corners, that's over 1 inch thick solid steel.

A scant few balls of weld spatter but again very nice finish on the cart so good job Heavy Hitch!

Land Pride QH10

Its heavy, after just lifting the Heavy Hitch stuff heaving this up on my do all table took considerably more effort. As I mentioned it arrived kind of beat up, I counted 7 major chips and inches long gouges down to primer or bare metal...then stopped counting. Yes its tractor stuff its going to get beat up but for well over $400 I want to be the one beating it up it shouldn't arrive pre beat up. Rant mode off.

If it were me, I would have welded a square of stainless under those pin lock levers, the paint is already chipping off under them. How long before I gouge my hand on that cotter pin and start bleeding and cussing.

Thick and heavy duty I like it! Go look at a QH05 in comparison, there is no comparison that's why the QH10 is rated for 2000 lbs vs only 600 lbs for the QH05. REMINDER the QH10 requires no pin sleeves its sized for the Cat 1 7/8 inch pins so good job Land Pride.

Here I think you see the how Heavy Hitch has better build quality. Land Pride bothered to put a shoulder on the center hook, but its not resting on the square tubing its up in mid air so all the weight will be on the welds. Paint already chipping off the top and off the hook.

Heavy Hitch modified with some adhesive back rubber so the suitcase weights don't grind all the paint off.

Death, looking good. I try to keep my stuff looking new too. I figure if mine gets beat up to bad, I’ll just use a bedliner material on it. As the cart is on my list, the bar looks like it will hold the wieghts, if you wanted to soley use the hitch and no ballast.

Let me confirm that for you.

Any idea where the best place is to get weights? Craigslist is empty here. I guess dealer?

Pics of Hitch with weights on cart, please.

Heavy work well on the QH10?
