richard2210,

My recommendation would be to load the rear tires with RimGuard. This will add ~ 214#'s to the tractor. For light loader work this will be just fine; I even find it helps the tractor while mowing on slopes and uneven land. For heavy loader work, you will need ~600# of rear ballast, depending on what bucket size you went with. Many box blades have a provision for adding suitcase weights. To borrow a fellow poster's pic here is an example:

Certainly don't mine post of my former 2210. But I will say, the box in the picture above is 280 lbs, 100 lbs of wheels weights, and 140 lbs of clip-ons and I have found it to be well suited for ballast for 97% of my use (gravel, sand, or whatever). Whenever I need more weight for moving heavier material, I just put two 75lb sand tubes across the box.

The 210 loader owners manual recomends 700lb. 3pt wt.
loaded tires, and 3, 50lb weights on each wheel if using
loader to max capacity. This is about 1200# total.
I have 1000# total weight and haven't had any problems.
I started out with just loaded tires and my backblade and
when digging I could bring the back wheels off the ground
anytime I wanted.

You will definitely need something. I have the ballast box filled with concrete. With just the blade, it doesn't take much to make the rear end very light. Ballast box with concrete seems to be ok for now.

The most economical way for ballast and efficiency is the ballast box. Reason being is that it makes the front axle lighter where as wheel weights and liquid filled tires just make the rear end heavier which is good for traction. Save your money and use the BB. Weight the wheels only if needed.
