So fish gills are actually Fuel Cells???

There is oxygen dissolved in water... along with other things. Pure, deoxygenated water, no, but try to get SOME ;)

4Fe(s) + 3O2(aq) + 6H2O(l) --> 4Fe(OH)3(s) ..... rust formed under water
4Fe(s) + 3O2(g) + 2H2O(l) --> 4FeO(OH)(s) .... the most common form of rust
2FeO(OH) ---> Fe2O3 + H2O .... the reaction for the dehydrate of rust

Yes, I guess I wasn't holding dissolved to the same definition as you. You're right, oxygen and the other gasses required by life can be suspended in and then diluted to various levels within water, as can many minerals and solids, but none of the chemical makeups are combined or changed. Sometimes you can have reactions between these suspended and diluted substances which will cause some oxidation and such to occur under water, but again, once any of that suspended oxygen is used up, the oxidation process stops (nearly if not totally). I'm no chemist, but I believe those tables showing the makeup of the various oxidation processes simply shows the variances in the process as other elements are introduced to the process. I've still never heard of H2 simply losing it's O stored in a closed container. :) Based on the experiences of many people who have water filled various steel containers, filling entirely and eliminating most or all of the air is generally enough to prevent any major corrosion issues. I do agree the best practice is to use something designed to be non-corrosive, but some people still find calcium to be the ballast of choice.

Just fill the roller with diesel, add a 12v pump, then you can roll for a long time without having to come in.

:)

:laughing: Yeah, I can just see me 'rolling' into town & the petrol station, then 'rolling' on home.

There's no WAY I'd fill it using 20ltr after 20ltr jerry cans or with my 50ltr bowser... it'd take a month of getting-around-to-it.

LD1, Thank you for correcting my extremely bad error. I am annoyed with myself as I have always been good with numbers.

I recently bought a calculator (becoming lazy in my old age) with large buttons, but I still managed to hit at least one wrong key. I have not been able to reproduce what I did wrong so do not know. I should stick to pencil and paper. I am sure it is better to keep my mind active, and I suppose I could always practice with the calculator to check my brain is still functioning correctly.
