Banner year for CRICKETS?!

Don't recall seeing/hearing so many crickets as I have this summer. Day & night-- creating quite a chatter! Just around here by any chance?

Nope here too, I see them everywhere this year..

Exactly the opposite here. Very few and thankfully none in the house!

None here either. I do recall one time in the Houston Tx. area around 1975 that the crickets were so bad that we had to have laborers remove all the storm drain covers in the plant that I was working and scoop out the dead crickets at least once a week. You literally couldn't walk without stepping on some of them. About a month and they were all gone. I would love to see a bunch of them now, fish love them.

There seems to be 4 seasons inside my tin shed.
Beetle
Spider
Cricket
Fly

Cricket season started 2 weeks ago and fly season will begin in early October and last well past Thanksgiving on sunny days.
