- JD 2025R, previously Gravely 5650 & JD 4010 & JD 1025R
My turfs were fine in the snow on my 4010. I normally put the ags on the Gravely for the winter because the dual turfs on it slip easily on wet snow. I've metal screws into the outer part of the lugs of the ags for better winter traction. Actually, didn't use the Gravely much at all this last winter because the JD was so much better and quicker.
I'm lazy and haven't replaced the ags on the Gravely and am regreting it because they dig so easily. The turfs grip more before slip point and don't dig once they slip.
Turfs on my 4010 gave enough traction for filling the FEL with 25 tons of gravel. If they spun, it just meant that I wasn't good enough in doing my upcurl quick enough.
