Got this photo this evening. I was driving to town and saw the barn and sunset in the rear view mirror. I had to stop and take the picture of the sunset through the barn.
Lee County, Texas. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Don,

Good one mate.

Red in the night a sailors (Shepherds) delight,
red in the morning a sailors (shepherds) warning

hysyde, good photos from a sub-par camera. The sunsets are the hardest to take they usually are too dark or too light and the colors are hardly ever the same. Nice hay rake, but whats all that white stuff all over? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hyside; Judging by the sky in that photo with the rake, it must have been quite a cold night. Just think, it's right around the corner for us, eh? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Beautiful, I love sunset pics. I try to walk to the top of the hill behind my house at least 3 times a month just to watch the sunset and take my dogs out to the field. I have taken some pics but haven't posted them. I will try to post some before this thread gets too wore out.

Yeah, it's hard to get a good pic (sunset or otherwise) with my 2.0MP, 3 year old HP. It has absolutely no manual adjustments so I find the best thing to do is to let it adjust itself diffrently by aiming at diffrent points and by taking LOTS of pics and hope for a good one.

One example is this one I attached which was taken at the same time as the number 5 pic in my earlier post. I have about 5 diffrent shots of that, all diffrent. These are the two best.

I been thinking of buying the Canon Digital Rebel SLR but so far I've had trouble justifying spending $2000+ on yet another pastime.

It was extremely cold that day. My hands froze as I was walking around trying to take pictures.

Had some pretty frosty mornings so far, but I can say I'm actually looking forward to winter (although fall seems to be flying by).

This is a sunrise I took about a week ago overlooking a hayfield.

And what a coincidence, Robert. Those views must have been just waiting for you, because they have your name on them.

Yeah, I don't like doing that as it takes away from the picture but I like it more then some idiot stealing my pics I post on line and I then find them on a online magazine where I know whoever stole it got paid to do so. Happened before with a picture I posted on a toy tractor site so now I mark them so if someone wants to steal it he has to do some work to remove my name. Best part is I would be happy to let people use the pictures for free but I don't like others making money off me when they do nothing /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Great views, all. Here is a sunset picture taken back in August, when we were fishing on our tank.
