"The hardest part was the weight of the doors"
When I replaced one of the big doors on the barn.. yes the weight gets more than one man can pick up. What I did was use two large bolts(could use eye bolts) on the top (or near top) of the door.. evenly spaced.. to hook the chains from the FEL for the installation. I mounted the hardware rollers on the door.. then slid a rail on. I set up a board on the ground leveled for the bottom height of the door.. then set the door using the FEL on the ground board.. w/ the door in place leveled.. I then attach the rail to the barn.. and then attach the additional rails to the barn. The bolts stick out on the outside part of the door.. they could be removed.. but I just left them in.
