Once the concrete was in place, i troweled it smooth. Taking the time to slope the top edge away from the garage door.
Under the tap, i used a piece of 6" drain pipe as a mold to cast in a drain so that any water would run away, and not towards the slab. (plus i wanted to see if it would work
)
After i had it smooth i got to thinking that i should texture the section directly in front of the door, for better traction.So i grabbed a old corn broom and drug it across.
Sorry theres no action shots, i had my hands full with rapidly setting concrete
But here are the finished pics.
Was a good project. Makes a huge difference in getting vehicles into the barn. I should have done this sooner
