I must be nuts, I like doing drywall. But I have a FEL so you can't bargain with me I guess.
I barter all kinds of things. I gave a neighbor a section of thick copper braided wire to scrap out (grounding for my former metal roof on my house) in exchange for using his bucket truck for siding that was impossible to get to with a ladder. Ok I could have used a 40 foot ladder to clear the bottom peak that was jutting out, but I can't control a 40 foot ladder. Right now I'm giving away wood from my barn that collapsed to get help taking it apart. The person helping gets half the wood. We are almost done so that has been a good deal for me. I am always willing to accept help with certain things in exchange for tutoring someone in math. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. I guess if you are going to barter tractor work in exchange for drywall, instead of worrying about who is worth more money, think about whether it is worth it to you. You hate drywall, you like working with your tractor. So is having the drywall job done for you worth it to you to do whatever the other person wants done with your tractor? If that answer is yes, make the trade.
