Call dumb, but I am not very good with high tech stuff and lingo. For the most part I'm just pushing buttons on these electronic whizzos hoping to get it to do what I want it. What do you folks mean by the term "thread"? For me thread means something your wife uses to sew up your pants or "threads on a bolt". Laugh out loud, but I warned you it was a question from a dummy. Thanks.
While several have already answered what a "thread" is - I'll focus on a topic near it - the idea that "dumb" questions deserve good answers too - which is what makes learning for many who are becoming new tractor owners for the first time.
If you look on the forum listings of topics and "threads" - you'll occasionally see threads similar to a couple I started 2 years ago. As an example - there is a "thread titled" Dumb questions that deserve good answers LOL. I'll admit that creating it and adding to it was a bit embarrassing at times - but its the only way you learn and then share to others - so they don't have to learn the same way.
Maybe you'll find Phillip that you don't understand computers as much - but you're alot smarter than others of us when it comes to tractors LOL You may end up having a great deal to say and add to the forum.
