Basic question???

What's the difference between Category I and Category II 3pt hitch? Will the implements inter-changable between tractors with Category I and Category II 3pt hitch?

Go to this website. It is good but the main difference that I can see is in the pin sizes. Cat I is 3/4" and Cat II is 1".

From a practical standpoint you can use Cat I attachments on a Cat II tractor by using adapter sleeves. In general Cat II implements won't fit or will be too heavy for a Cat I machine. Also most Cat II machines won't have any trouble bending or breaking Cat I implements unless you take it very easy. Some Cat II implements can be adapted by changing pins to be Cat I but they may still not fit well and you need to be carefull of weight.
