Basket Weaving.....

Things around here are getting kind of dull with all the thread closings, and I am tractored out. For these reasons I have been thinking of taking up basket weaving. Any suggestions as to where to start? Please keep this non political or controversial because I don't want this thread closed. I checked with the local and state governments and it is perfectly legal to do basket weaving, unless I am ordered to stop by some policeman. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, I won't stop you, in fact I think the basket weaving would be good for you, but I did stop my wife from buying Longberger baskets for a while, them things are expensinve. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Chances are a sharp knife, some new willow shoots and something to bend the shoots around and pull back and forth to break up the fibers. Then use kife to split willow shoots, then start basket, after several days knife could be used to end misery! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Took my first basket weaving lesson today at pool side. Then some bullies came by and threw me into the pool. My lesson turned into underwater basket weaving. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Junk I'm curious, do these gals that are instructing you in the art of basket weaving members of the red hat society? Whoops, I hope that this would not be considered a political question of sorts?
