If my bathroom fan was quiet, I would wear it out by running it 24/7/365...

i also like the panasonic models. very quiet. but you may need to refinance your house to buy them. i had one customer that actually ducted every bath and kitchen vent in 6-8" steel duct to on outside mounted wall exhaust like that used in commercial kitchen. all rooms linked together in a hellacious 4 way wiring job with timers. but let me tell you.....absolutely silent. ,must have cost him a fortune though. my electrical alone was not cheap.

I use Broans in the bathrooms attached to bedrooms, decent balance of price and quiet. For the first floor half bath I went with a little bit louder fan, helps drown out those unpleasant sounds

Ive got an attic fan Ive been thinking of putting above the toilet.

Brian makes a retrofit kit to quiet down the builder grade fans. I installed them in two baths. They are designed so they use existing fan box without ceiling surgery. 3rd bath we had ceiling down so I replaced with broan quiet model. Bigger fan turns slower with same cfm. Also wrapped exhaust pipe. Company forgets to turn it off it's so quiet.

I think ours are Broan. Very quiet, especially on startup. I think we paid $75 each.

We installed two Broan bathroom fans and a kitchen range hood. All were chosen for noise level and cfm ratings adequate or over rated for the cubic feet of bathroom and in the case of the range hood big enough to actually be effective. The range hood has a 6 inch galvanized discharge. All were purchased at the Lowes in town.

I do that for all my customers baths & kitchens in 6 rigid pipe. Much higher quality and lower noise. I have seen mice chew the cheap flexible pipe. It’s junky and not made to last.
