Hello Gentlemen,

I have been following all the posts about the smaller Boomers (Tc 45's and smaller ) having a problem of the Battery gassing and causing corrosion problems.

I know the battery is mounted width ways and sitting right close to the Radiator on the 45's , but on the TC 55 it is mounted length ways with the tractor frame and is also sitting in a recessed area. Much less exposure to the Radiator.

Any 48/55 owners please let me know , # of hours and if / any problems .

Thanks

Been keeping an eye on my TC48 for this. Have 80hrs now. Looks just as new as when I bought it. No problems yet with battery.

Thanks for the reply.

Anyone know if the Battery used in the 48 / 55 is different than the batteries used in the smaller Boomers ??

Dunno, the only thing I can tell you, is that I never had any trouble with the battery in my TC55DA spilling acid all over the place. Everything still looks like new @ 165 hrs.

So for I am liking the responses . I was hoping that I would not have the same issues as the smaller Boomers. I was thinking that the Battery in the 48 and 55 may be slightly larger, but don't know for sure.
