Last week I needed to start my tractor in cold weather (about 32 degrees F). I know that is not cold to many of you but, it is for me.
I don't see how you guys get out there and plow snow.
Anyway, the tractor would not turn over fast enough to fire off. (I did use the compression release.) I ended up putting on one of those emergency jump start battery things and it finally cranked. That is probably the coldest temp I have ever tried to start it in. I suspect either my battery is getting old and weak or it is not heavy enough.
I recently removed and cleaned all of the connections and replaced the positive battery cable. Can anyone tell me what group and CCA battery it needs? The shop manual calls for something called a N70Z (whatever that is).
