Battery Issue

Was using my eMax22 after shutting it down and restarting I heard a loud pop like a fuse blowing. Checked all the fuses looked for a short couldn’t find anything. Checked battery it was reading 12.34v then I noticed battery was leaking. Replaced battery and started right up.
Battery was only three years old.

Was the tractor running at the time? If it was, it may have been caused by a voltage regulator problem.

What type battery was it? Is it still under warranty?

Battery was Exide but was out of warranty. Tractor Supply carries them but I went with another brand. I had been using tractor and I turned it off to secure a load when I went to restart tractor is when i heard to pop and it wouldn’t start.

That sounds like a bad cell in the battery, so when it took a lot of amps to crank, pop.

I have a 2015 Emax22 Gear. The original battery is a Rocket GB50R. What batteries will replace this to match size. Thanks for the help. Barry

No idea what size that S. Korean battery is, but it appears to be 50ah and 450cca. Measure the battery and compare LxWxH to a BCI battery size table and confirm proper terminal type and orientation.
