Hello -

Just curious if anyone has thoughts on how long batteries are lasting through this year's cold temperatures (upper midwest / MN, for example). I have block and hydraulic heaters that I plug in, but I've notice that the engine starting is harder this year than past. I thought it might be the battery. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Are you using a battery tender? That will make them last a lot longer.

It could be the battery--How old is it? I have noticed the same thing, but my battery is 10 years old, so I sort of expected it. Still working, tho.

I have never been convinced that is true.
I generally get between 8 to 11 years from my car/truck/tractor batteries and have never used a battery tender

My barn stays a cozy 60 degrees, so I think they will last just as long this year as the others. :)
