Hi everyone, new to the forum, hope you can help me solve a problem with my BCS.

The wire that is going from the sparkplug to the electrical cap has been pulled out of the cap. If I just put the cable back in, the motor will start after I jiggle the wire a bit , but once it gets loose, it will shut off.

I tried removing the electricity cap, but there is nothing that I see that would secure the wire back in place.

So how can I connect the wire back?

Thanks

If you pull the wire out you may note the wire itself goes through a metal piece at the end. If there's no metal piece at the end it may still be inside that socket. That is what holds the wire in place. It's also possible you're not inserting the wire fully. It is helpful to slide the rubber boot back an inch or so onto the wire then it's easier to insert the wire fully. With the wire fully inserted slide the cap back into place. It will help hold the wire in place.
