Which is best - I currently have both. I haven't gotten o try the BCS out yet because I bought it with a gear out. I hear the Gravelys are better brush hogs and snow pushers. The BCS is the best tiller on the market I hear. Anyone have any experience with either.

Both are excellent machines and each is "best" in its own way.

I have a BCS and an older Troybilt tiller. I actually like the Troybilt better for tilling but the BCS is more refined. I don't have a brush hog attachment, I found getting a used DR Field and Brush mower was cheaper.

The old Gravely tractors are beasts. They excel where solid ballast weight is needed. But they can wear you out if you try to man-handle them. The BCS is a much more nimble tool, and lighter all the way around.

Overall it is pretty easy to get Gravely parts. Just rebuilt a Kohler powered machine from end to end and never had any issues with parts. Even the much older machines are not bad, try Richards in Spencer wv as he has more stuff than anyone and knows the machines inside and out

Thanks - I'll try them. I've been talking to Berlin Gravely in Ohio about parts also. Thanks Matt

Hi .For mowing or snowblowing Gravely are a lot better than any BCS or Grillo Because Gravely PTO are LIVE and with two speeds one for each gear.
Transmission with planetary and bands as automatic give a true shuttle you can go front and reverse with no clutch. You can go in first gear then go in second with no clutch and no stop.

BCS and Grillo are a lot better for gardening. more speeds adjustable wheels handlebar can move on side. And now are more versatile because more implements and parts available.
Good Luck Oldmech mowerd.jpg
