BDU-10 AND BDU-21 transmissions

The 2500 series uses the BDU-10 transmission and the 3000 series uses the BDU-21. On the 3000 series there are hydraulics that come off the transmission for the deck lift, power steering, and axu hydraulic hookups like a loader. I found a loader for a 3000 series, but I don't have the hydraulics on my 2544. Does anyone know if the BDU-10 has a spot to hookup some hydraulic lines. If so, has anyone tried this?

I think to get hydraulics on a GT2544 you need to add the hydraulic pump kit used on the hydraulic tiller. It had a mounting plate, pump, pulleys and hardware needed to run the tiller.

Do they sell this seprate from the mower, and if so do you have a part number and price?

It's what the dealer adds on if you buy the tiller so you'd have to ask them how much and if it's available.

Oops sorry, it's for the 2000 and 2500 series model 190-002-100. Brand new from a dealer is 1800, I'm asking 1300. (and it's new!)

They will not sell it as an assembly. You have to buy each part. Just the pump alone was $700. It would be cheaper for me to sell my 2544 and get a 3100.

I'd recommend the 3200 over the 3100, for 3 more HP, and the differential rear lock, which would help if you get the loader.....and they're very nice machines.

Does a 3206 have the locking rear-end? They have a used one for $2300. I am not sure what year it is, but it does not have the aux hydro like the new 3200 does.

I don't think so. I think the only rigs with the diff lock are the 3225, 3235, 3240, and 3200. The 3200 is also the only one that comes with the second valve from the factory. They're nice machines. I have a 3235 (25HP) and a 3240 (22 HP) that I'm selling, and a 3200 coming in that I'm giving to my Dad. I know they all have it!

Looks like only the -21 drive has an auxiliary pump on it: Hydro-Gear ? U Style You'd have to custom build something similar to the 2500 series tiller drive to make it cost effective, or swap out the -10 with a -21 drive, which would probably require some driveshaft and linkage mods as well. Lot-o work for the lesser tallented like myself.

I think I am going to sell my 2544 and get a 3200. I have looked around and I can pick up a good used one for about $4,000. How much do you think I should list my 2544 for? It is a 2008 100 hours and has the dozer blade att from Cub Cadet on it. I paid about $4,200 for it now about 1 1/2 years ago. I was think about $3,500 obo. What do you guys think?

I don't see one listed, but I have seen these tractors with FELs on them. I've got a 1979 model year Case 220 (Ingersoll used to be Case). They're a lot of fun. Really tough machines & pretty straight forward to work on. Ingersoll Tractors - Quality  -  Dependability  -  Power
