I remember having something like that on our old Regular when I was a kid. If I remember correctly they called it a "J-Hawk" or a "J-Hawker". It must have been dangerous because dad and grandpa always made me stay away when they were haying with it. Later, Steve

The picture of the beautifully restored International (M, I think) was all that anyone used when I was a kid. That and the old, Allis Chalmers little round balers (I wanna think they were a Model 17; but don't really remember). I know I picked a lot of those bales out of the field and stacked 'em. I never got to run the farmhand's much, though. Except to bunch up the windrows into small stacks that the old hands would put into the big stacks. The real good operator's could build a 12'-14' stack without using a metal frame. They'd just pile up the small windrow stacks -- one on top of another until they had a huge 20'x12' or 14' foot high stack of hay. Yup, things like that come around every now and again to remind me how old I really am...
Oh, and I sure hope ya' figure out your timing glitch... I just remember that ya never could get the weld (or brazing) to hold on a busted needle for sour apples! AKfish
