Had the opportunity a few weeks ago to walk in sand similiar to that of Iwo Jima. It was all I could do just to walk down to the South China Sea for a swim. Can't imagine what it would be like to hit the beach in full combat gear while being shot at with machine guns, etc.

Thank you all. Sorry to make you cry. Lord knows, I have done my share over the past couple weeks. Managed to scrub my calendar next week- wife and I are taking a week with the kids to have fun before we tangle with the beast again. Chemo to start the following week.
God Bless,
Pat

Thanks for sharing, Pat. Your wife, your family and your friend and his family will be in my prayers.

My fatther was given 3 - 6 months to live 23 years ago and hung on for 19 months. Much of that was due to prayer. Like many others have said, have hope. Sounds like you are facing this the right way.

Take next week for a chance to say and do the many things that are important.

Pat,

Our prayers are with you during this trying time. God only puts you through challenges that He knows you can handle. Stand on His word, By My stripes you are healed and look beyond what you see today. My prayer is for both of you to be able to see those things that be not as though they were. I am standing on this to say that your wife is healed and will have a great testimony to share in the future.

May God bless you both.

Mike

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Goiong on vacation after Church on Sunday- scrubbed my calendar to get away with the family. Going skiing in Pennsylvania.
Good news- Annette had testing on Thursday and got a call from our new oncologist's nurse practitioner. Though the primary metastasis was still present on her lung, it had not grrown and might have shrunk a little. Additionally, the three secondary spots detected in the February 5 C-T scan are gone. Annette has NOT started treatment. Keep the prayers coming. God Is Great.
GOd Bless,
Pat

Victory comes on praise and I thank God for healing Annettes body. I am grateful for this day and as we all know that our spouse is our other half, I thank God for healing in Pat also. Keep your eyes on Him. I am expecting a miracle today in Annettes body. Believe and receive.

God Bless you.

The body achieves what the mind believes. You are both spiritually grounded and Annette, with your support, is focused on living. Have fun on vacation, my prayers are with you.

Pat, I am so sorry to hear of Annette's situation. Medical advancements have really progressed with breast cancer and catching it early enough and proper treatment are really successful these days.

My wife has had to belts with breast cancer and she is doing fine now and has been for the past seven years. Last year she gave a kidney to our daughter, which was a wonderful bonding of mom and daughter. All I can say is, hang in there tough, believe in a cure and good things will happen.

Once again, thank you all for your conntinued thoughts and prayers. Back from vacation. Had a wonderful time skiing. Felt "aLmost normal" for a few days. The trepidation of coming back and getting back into the ring with the beast took over on Saturday eveniong, though, as I wept openly to a friend of ours who came up with his family and tod him I did not want to return. It was so nice to feel normal again and I reaaly do not want to see Annette go through more trials and tribulations, but we are now steeling our nerves for the upcoming battle. Once again, thanks and
God Bless,
Pat

I wept openly to a friend of ours

Pat, I was a teenager the first time I ever saw my dad cry, and that was when my mother was in the hospital and the doctor thought she might have cancer. Fortunately, it turned out to not be cancer that time. However, in 1966 mother did have breast cancer, had a mastectomy and lived another 40 years. Tomorrow will be the first anniversary of her funeral.

My wife had a small malignant tumor removed from one breast 3.5 years ago, and so far no signs of it returning.

And a former neighbor and still good friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given a maximum of 2 years to live 4 years ago, and now they say the tumors are no longer growing, and she's better now than she was 4 years ago.

So we'll hope and pray that you and your wife have the same good fortune.

Pat - I don't log in here often but I'm sorry to hear of your wife's illness, I pray all will turn out well.

You're obviously a good guy to be helping out an old man that turns out to be an unsung war hero. Thank you.

Pat; Sorry to hear of your wife's illness. It takes courage to face a new day. You seem to have the strength to keep moving forward. One never knows how well off you are with good health and the ability to help others in need. I have an elderly couple living nearby and we help them as much as possible. The satisfaction is better than any money can buy. Wish the best for you and your family.

Prayers from here in NC for your wife, family and you Pat. Nothing greater than the feeling that you don't have to face it alone. Faith will help you through and the many prayers from fellow TBN'ers will surely be a comfort and a blessing.
