Belt Style Hay Rake

I have the same rake and the same problem...my plastic bushings are starting to crack and fail...how did you remedy or replace?

Check with us at Tractor Tools Direct. It is possible that Molon uses the same bushings. We will need you to do some measurements and we can check them against our Molon parts. Give us a call after the holiday - 260-225-3429. Many of the belt rake parts can also be found here: Tractor Tools Direct | Product Categories | Molon Parts

I use an older 3 PT side deliver rake. they are only 7-8' or less wide hoked up (can go through an 8'gate) Works well in tight spaces as long as you plan your turns and the rake swing. Some of the 3pt rotary rakes are also compact and will fit tight spaces too.

Okay, anyone else seen these rakes . . . I'm needing something fairly small and very maneuverable . . . Now I need a small hay rake. . .

Have you considered a 3PT hitch wheel rake. No PTO, no belts, and they'll last forever.
If you didn't live on the other side of the country, I have a good used one that I'd make you a deal on.

It's been almost two years ago I posted that question, so, time for a update. I bought a 3 pt. RM-280 rotary rake from Agri-Supply last year. I initially had some problems with a bent wheel spindle/axle. Agri-Supply warrateed it promptly and I was going again. It rakes wonderfully (fluffy windrows and I have manuever around solid set irrigation riser pipes). I also bought a Hesston 4550 centerline baler and it's a dream to pull compared to the old offset baler I used to have. I pretty happy with the haying machinery I have now. But the custumers are thinning out, so, haying is slow. I have a LOT of other projects going on as well so I don't miss haying at all. bjr

I purchased a block of plastic online and made replacements with a drill press, forstner bits, drill bits and a jig saw. Patience was needed but them came out fine and have held up to thus far. The Molon ones look very close and might be a suitable option.

Hi, would be able to share the dimensions/measurements of the bushings you manufactured? I recently acquired a Farendlose rake, but the bushings are worn so bad I'm not even sure how to get a good measurement. I was going to see if any of the flanged bushings from this site: igus.ca/wpck/7103/plain_bearing_product_finder would be a suitable fit.

Thanks.
