Well as you may have read I got the 2523 instead of the 3100 and have done some adjusting etc. Im curious about the OE belt size on this unit, specificly the width of the belts. The belts on the machine are about 1/2 inch wide and sit pretty deep in the pulleys. It seems like a new set would probably be 5/8 wide given the sheeve wear marks. Local dealer doesnt stock these part numbers and can only give me length not the width of the belt.

Can anyone tell me the correct OE width??

I may get a set of gates industrial # belts for it as the set I put on my 16/48 Gilson have lasted over 11 years and are still going.

The PTO belt is intended to sit deep in the two idler pullies below the exhaust. Go too wide and it will jump out upon PTO engagement. I like Oregon brand replacement belts if I can get'em.

Yea I can see that, and it makes sense, but they also sit very deep in the clutch and driven pulleys as well. So I thought maybe they were outa spec width wise, and like I said the local dlr doesnt know the actual width, or so the parts guy says, Nice... Still hoping someone knows the OE width, any takers??
