I ordered a short cat 1 top link, $40 with shipping. Will be 4" shorter. Hopefully I am picturing this right and it raises is it up right.

In general it would nice to be higher in woods. Not sure if this will break even, or some additional height.

Looked innocent enough.

Wow--that's disappointing to see, Those square tubes must be about as thin as the mast plates! The good news is: if they'll crumple that easy, they shouldn't be too hard to bend back. This would be a good archive photo for how the mast can be engineered to resist a pull, but fail miserably on a push.

Do you have a digging iron? About 6' long, 1" hexagonal... can exert quite a bit of leverage. I'd see if I could lock into that and gorilla it back... likely that'd fail and I'd start hammering the mast plates, then the square tubes, then back, and see if I could tap my way back near normal.

The bottle jack idea between the side links up to the mast is a good idea too.

Also would consider locking the top connection to an immovable object and trying the 3pt or pallet forks to lever it back.

I don't have welder, it's on my list. Not sure what shop would charge to fix a $600 box blade.

Thoughts on shorter top link? Not sure if the angles would right.

Do you have a acetylene torch with a heating tip? If so, heat up the bendy bits and bend them back as demonstrated in the video below at the 30:07 point and on.

Whoops. Now that I see the photo, if this was my problem, I'd cut that off and either fab up a new one or reuse the center top link bit and fab up stronger braces.

Zerk, I bought a King Kutter rear blade oh 15 years ago and had about every weld on it to break, no major metal failure but soon learned that at least the blade I bought was not near the quality I thought King Kutter was.

I also backed into a thought to be rotten stump with a box blade and did about same damage you did. They just do not have the hitch material to hold up to back into what they will hold being pulling into same load. On my which is more like the other box blade I trashed the three point hitch and used I think 3 by 3 angle iron I am sure at least 1.4 inch thick but think maybe 1/2 inch even and made me new mount for the 3 pth. I really believe you are best off to remove the bent part at least cut it loose and reinforce with metal and have it all welded back to new bracing.
I doubt a 10 ton jack will straighten this for they do not bend metal like this with a slow pressure system like a jack they do it with a brake coming down on it with some right good speed. Same energy as slow speed would not give it the crisp bends it has.

Depending on the type of stump it is put phosphate on it to speed up rot. Or just build you a camp fire on it and can use a fire chimney or such to help.

The stump was way out in woods, it can stay their. I thought it would be a push over. If it gets way will cut down with chainsaw, it's just woods trail, actually more of a turn around.

I was wondering about backing to tree, come along to tree behind it.

I got some tanks and regulator, in shed, came with place. Hoses are old
Get new hoses and learn about torches.

I realize I am not doing it proper, but I am hoping to get going, summer is here. Though I wonder if now that it is comprised it is going to keep bending.

2 weeks ago was stuck in hole, I come alonged to box blade, until I could reach draw bar. Thing pulls better than push I guess.

For future implements, do you think this is a brand problem or operator?

I went to tractor dealer, don't remember brand. Bur it was same weight, and $200. I was judging strength by weight. They didn't have it on lot. I probably would not been able to tell anyways.

I got some stuff I want to get done in yard, but mostly using it in woods. I never take it off. Lots of humps, or use it to remove saplings on trails

I have got in trouble, getting stuck on trees in turns with it. Not fun running saw by tire, to cut out tree.

I looked that model up on their website just to see what it is supposed to look like. (The label in your picture infers it might be a 72") Anyway, they've changed that part of the design for some reason to a sturdier looking angle iron assembly. If you could buy that new assembly for the weldor, it might fit the nicely on the box and be cheaper than a custom fabbed part.
