I had it all planned out that I'd finish digging out my walkway today, and about an hour into working on it, I see hydraulic fluid leaking down the dipperstick. :( I bent one of the right-angle hydraulic adapters that connects the hose to the cylinder. Of course since it's 7/4, the local Kubota dealer was closed. I tried Tractor Supply, but they didn't have the right size adapter. Rats. Hopefully this common adapter isn't something I have to order.

My questions for the forum:

What parts do you keep stock of in your garage?

Does anyone know of any online sites that I can order parts from so I can build up a little inventory?

Thank you

Ray,

Where is your closest dealer? I'm heading up to ERB in New Berlinville in the morning to do my seat swap, I can't wait to get the new one.

That's my closest dealer as well. They're 8-10 miles from me, I'd say. I'll be heading there after work tomorrow to get half a dozen of these fittings and a few gallons of trans fluid. And maybe a t-shirt or something. :D

For what I have in my shelves I could say that over 90 percent has never broke again when picking up a spare.

Things will only break if you don't have spares on your shelf. :)

I needed a little elbow adapter thing that connects the hydraulic hose to the cylinder for my BH bucket. I called all the dealers within 45 minutes of where I live and also where I work. None had any, so I ordered a dozen of them from the closest dealer. No digging for me until they come in.

I have to say it's nice to be able to order and buy parts for a tractor when they're needed as opposed to hunting Ebay for parts or entire parts tractors.

I have a hydraulic company who repairs any type of hydraulic equipment, repacks cylinders (any type/size)hoses and fluids. If I need a hose I can take it to him and he'll make a new one while I wait for far less than the cost from the dealer. He also makes house calls. His business takes him all over New England working on extra large equipment down to what we all use. I buy all my equipment and fluids from him at less than 1/2 the cost of my local dealer. My suggestion would be to check out your yellow pages for a local that does that type of work and give them a try. This guys business is a 24/7 business and stocks all fittings and hoses. :)

That is correct. It's Murphy's law. Had you not got the spares, well.....

The last two I needed came from an auto parts store. Napa has a good stock in my area.
