PT422 w/ EH72FI engine swap
This is just for fun and primarily out of curiosity, but what do you guys think would be the best overall, non-PT alternative to a PT4xx machine for your "average" homeowner? I know answers will be very subjective, but that's okay... just explain briefly your reasoning. (e.g. easier to operate/repair, better quality, price, etc)

Looking forward to some interesting suggestions.

Thanks!

The Kubota BX series is small, strong and versatile. Great machines. Great dealer support. Great factory parts availability. Strong puller. Diesel engine will last for eternity. Will load dirt in a pickup truck.

Will scuff lawns in tight turns in 4wd.
Lacks power down on 3PT hitch, so post holing is harder.
Lacks quick attach, so you have to buy one and convert all your 3pt implements.
Won't fit in the back of a pickup truck, so you have to buy a trailer.
Sits up higher so you may have ROPS hitting garage door.
No FOPS.
Costs more.
Lifts less.

Consider tasks to accomplish before choosing machine. Both are desirable machines. :)

:DDying and going to heaven.:D

Wait a PT1430. Diesel, 1200# lift capacity, quick attach, more torque, not very expensive, could be adapted to use PT4xx attachment, made in America.

Actually I kinda like the Tool cat. Attachments on the front (like God intended), short turning radius, diesel engine, dumpable bed in the back (oops, you will need a PT425 to load it), AC, quick connect, and they let you pay a whole lot more.

There were rumors a while back of a smaller version of the Toolcat coming out -- whatever happened with that?
