The guy in the video was taking a saw apart. I agree that you have to be careful when assembling stuff, but even then, using a power tool to run down the bolts and nuts with a low torque setting is just fine. The final torquing should aways done by hand.

It's all about convenience until you cross thread a steel screw into a mag case.

Then that 1 second savings turns into hours of pain.

I’ve also stopped using air tools and power tools so much. It’s not that much slower. I will use them for some things like spinning lug not off but I even then hand tighten them.

With a Power tool I always reduce the Tork to tighten it. Not so much loosening it. If it does slip loosening, Then I will get the wrench or screw driver out to risk damage.

So what you describe is actually removing water from the fuel system. It doesn't just vanish, it passes through the engine.

Rubbing alcohol will combine with water and can help move it through the system, but it has the same issues as Ethanol (which is just one form of alcohol). Put too much water in, and it combines with the alcohol and settles to the bottom in a mix that is more corrosive than just water alone. (The process is known as Phase Separation.) I avoid alcohol/ethanol in all of my small engines. If I'm i a situation where I have no choice, I make sure to use it up quickly, since the shelf life of ethanol-laced gas stinks.
Maybe I didn't phrase that correctly. I have heard and read comments about people's favorite fuel treatment that state use this and you can see the water just disappear before your very eyes. It doesn't work that way. This is off topic so that will do it for me here. If you want to start a new topic around this by all means, do so. but thanks for your comments.

I am always tearing saws apart. Seems like everyone and their brother brings their saws to me to fix, even if they are just flipping the saw for profit. I use a small 1/4" impact often to tear them apart but I also use T-handle drivers which are just as fast. I will tear a saw apart with the impact but often put them back together with the t-handles so I don't strip anything or over tighten...
