Best day of month to buy a trailer?

Thanks for all the advice everybody....picked up the trailer a few hours ago. It turns out their first price was really their best price (even on the last day of the month), and the next nearest stocking dealer started out exactly $1800 higher for the identical model, and couldn't quite match it ($100 more) after I told them what my local guy was quoting.

I wound up going standard rather than low profile, because I plan to use it all over my property, and ground clearance might become an issue. I wanted it painted rather than powder coated, but that would have added 6-8 weeks and I wasn't willing to wait.

Here it is....Load Trail, 14k, 16ft:

Can't believe you picked that up for only $3800. Up my way, this trailer would bring the dealer over 5K all day long and I wouldn't even be able to get a 10 footer for what you paid. Nice going.

That is a good price. Last 14K I sold was a Bri Mar in 2005 ish and it was $3600.

How much does it weigh? The Bri Mar with 3 way gate, spare, and slide in ramps was 4200#

Unfortunately, the $3800 was for a cargo trailer a few years ago. Both Load Trail and PJ 14K 16 foot dump trailers with scissor lift power up/down are going for $6,800 or more anywhere within a couple hundred miles of here from what I found. The one dealer wanted $8,600

The data plate says 4,510lbs....3-way gate and slide in ramps, but no mention of spare (I did get one along with the stake pocket bracket).
