I use a landscape rake, angled to kick gravel back into the driveway, then straight to smooth and spread. I don't have gauge wheels, so it doesn't get perfectly smooth. When it gets too uneven, I use the box blade to cut in an smooth it out or add/smooth additional clay when too much has eroded. My driveway is about a quarter mile long, with several hills and dells (8-10' change in elevation between them).
